We recently had to perform a cold reboot on Linux Server 4 due to a system crash.
The server now needs to perform an FSCK (similar to a scan disk on Windows) to correct any errors. Until this is performed, the file system has been set to read-only. As such no files can be written to the server.
This issue is considered as an emergency maintenance, as such maintenance on this server will commence shortly after posting of this announcement.
The process may take anything upto 90 minutes. The time taken depends on the number of files required for repair, as such the 90 minutes is an estimation, so it may take longer. All services on this server will be down until the maintenance is complete however the website will remain to be online.
We will endeavour to provide hourly updates.
